Innovative permanent magnet machines (PMM)
The Switch is the market leader in advanced PMM technology with more than 400 inline shaft generator orders for large ocean-going vessels. It also provides PM propulsion motors for electric vessels. The technology cuts costs, saves fuel and reduces emissions.
Direct-current distribution power electronics (DC-Hubs)
The Switch has 20 years of rugged, field-proved experience with marine drives. Currently, over 1,500 marine-specific single drives and DC-Hubs operate on hundreds of vessels. The easily configurable DC-Hub is a future-flexible solution for higher DC distribution efficiency, allowing batteries and other green energy sources to be added.
