Participatiefonds Duurzame Economie Noord-Holland (PDENH) has been revealed as the third investor in EST-Floattech. PDENH invests in North Holland startups, established enterprises and projects that have sustainable business models that contribute to a sustainable economy. It focuses on energy transition, sustainable mobility and the circular economy, and is the third investor in Dutch firm EST-Floattech in a relatively short period – last year the Rotterdam Port Fund took a share in the company. EST-Floattech operates from Hoofddorp and has a staff of over 25 and growing, fueled by the investments of PDENH and Rotterdam Port Fund. “The participation of PDENH provides us with growth capital and the recognition that we contribute to the energy transition in the Netherlands. With PDENH on board we are convinced we will be able to become a more recognized and more visible supplier in the Dutch market,” said EST-Floattech CEO Trond Skaufel. “Battery systems will provide a major contribution to clean energy. We are excited to become part of the ambitious mission of EST-Floattech to create a cleaner maritime sector,” added Bart Blokhuis, CEO of PDENH.
