Corvus Energy has achieved ISO 14001:2015 certification for its environmental management systems and processes. This recent ISO audit and certification follows a successful audit and recertification in December 2017 for ISO 9001, a certification Corvus Energy has held for several years. The purpose of the ISO 14001 standard is to provide organisations with a framework to protect the environment and respond to changing environmental conditions in balance with socioeconomic needs. The scope includes the environmental aspects of Corvus’s design, manufacturing and service of products that Corvus can either directly control or influence considering the lifecycle perspective of lithium-ion- based energy storage systems (ESS). “Environmental impact has become an increasingly important consideration for our customers, as local and global environmental issues bring progressively restrictive rules affecting air, water and soil pollution,” said Abbas Zenouz, QHSE manager at Corvus Energy “The ISO 14001 certification allows us access to markets and customers where consideration of environmental impact is part of the qualification process.”
