Here’s a second teaser from the recent Electric & Hybrid Marine Virtual ‘Live’ online conference, held in January. Check out this presentation from Simon Clark, research scientist at SINTEF, who outlines HYDRA, an EU Horizon 2020 battery research project focused on the development of Generation 3b Li-ion batteries, which combine high-capacity anode materials with high-voltage cathode materials to store significantly more energy with less weight and volume in a safe electrolyte, specifically for transportation applications including ships.
