Torqeedo has unveiled its new electric propulsion systems – the Cruise 3.0 (48V) and 6.0 (48V) models, the new Travel XS, and a new generation of Deep Blue G3N system components. The products were revealed together with Yamaha Motor at Metstrade 2025, running from November 18-20.

Heiko Vietmeier, CEO of Torqeedo, said, “Together with our shareholder, Yamaha Motor Company, we are presenting our latest innovations to an international audience and playing a key role in advancing the decarbonization of marine mobility.”

The enhanced Cruise models continue the modern design language of the Travel family, launched in 2023. The new 48V platform integrates the Cruise motors into Torqeedo’s broad component ecosystem. They feature a new foldable tiller with high-resolution displays to improve comfort on the water. The motors connect to the Torqview app via integrated wi-fi and Bluetooth, providing users with real-time performance and system data.

“Both models now operate on a more powerful 48V platform and are compatible with larger batteries, such as our 5kWh Power 48 battery. We have also applied a holistic approach to production: up to 95% of shaft-head components are made from recycled ocean plastic,” explained Vietmeier.

The new Travel XS is an entry-level model with 700W of power, making it more suitable for smaller dinghies. It features in the Travel Smart Package – expected to be available early 2026 – where it is paired with the new Travel battery XS (684Wh).

Of the Deep Blue G3N system, Vietmeir said, “With the new central intelligent control unit (ICU) and power distribution unit (PDU), we expand our Deep Blue range with two core system components that elevate high-power system scalability. This is particularly relevant for OEMs, fleet operators and eco-tourism providers looking to expand their offering with high-performance electric systems.”

The new ecosystem is said to enable intelligent control of all components at 400V or 800V, with power levels up to 400kW. It has a plug-and-play design for fast, safe installation and integration into existing systems.
