Scalable Marine Fuel Cell Packs
Zero emission plug & play Hydrogen Power Modules for vessels
Genevos produce fully integrated and modular marine fuel cell packs offering clients a drop-in zero emissions solution to decarbonise their vessels. The Hydrogen Power Modules (HPMs) are available in stackable packs of 15 kW, 30 kW and 40 kW enabling immediate scalability and redundancy.
Engineered as a maritime solution, the HPM family is marine certified to the highest standards of commercial operation and is graded IP55 ensuring a robust and safe solution for all vessels.
This scalable solution can be applied across the maritime sector to decarbonise vessels through primary, hybrid or auxiliary integration. We offer customised power solutions from 15 kW to 500 kW suitable for a range of vessels from small to large including yachts, ferries, service vessels, inland transport and shipping.
The HPM is fully-integrated with balance of plant and includes a DC-DC converter simplifying vessel installation. Integrated with Cummins (prev. Hydrogenics) PEM fuel cells, the HPM offers advanced, proven, efficient and reliable stacks. This zero emissions technology uses a chemical reaction to convert hydrogen into electricity, leaving only water in its wake preserving life above and below water.
Genevos was chosen as marine fuel cell supplier under the £2.2 million HIMET (Hydrogen in an Integrated Maritime Energy Transition) demonstrations project, primarily due to its plug and play marinised concept, integrating both fuel cell systems and power management. We go further to support clients globally by offering preliminary design and sizing studies, and pilot project support.
Our drop-in solution simplifies the green hydrogen transition in marine, whilst supporting the accomplishment of critical global climate change targets in the Race to Zero.
