The position will be responsible for analyzing the market, keeping a keen eye for gaps in competitor product offerings and supporting in the design of products to fill these gaps. The role requires a confident leader who has experience guiding cross-functional teams in the successful creation of products that improve consumer experience and grow market share. Define, own and steer the product management related processes.
Responsibilities
Build market segment specific knowledge of organization (incl. key current / future requirements, target customers, sub-segments, fit / gap of our offerings, competitors, substitute technologies, etc.)
Align, summarize, and administrate battery, fuel cell and fuel cell hybrid specific product roadmaps incl. key metrics (KPIs, timings [aligned with product management], ramp-up curves, pricing)
Prepare required commercial materials (incl. products sheets, tradeshow content, market launch campaigns, customer / segment value views, benchmarks, etc) in close cooperation with marketing & communication function. Pro-actively inform organization about any changes
Establishing global product management team and processes for our battery, fuel cell and fuel cell hybrid activities
Translate overall commercial business strategy & segment needs into segment specific strategies and product roadmap
Collaborate and align with different stakeholders such as Sales, Engineering, Program Management, Customers, Communication & Marketing
Present Freudenberg e-Power Systems at conferences, exhibitions, and key customer meetings
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering/ Marketing/ Business Economics required.
Market knowledge of the automotive and/ or heavy-duty industries, technology and product knowledge of battery and fuel cell systems and functional knowledge of product management, road mapping, market and competitor analysis,
At least 7 years’ experience in product management, sales or strategic product marketing in a global b2b manufacturing company
Initial team leadership experience with a hands-on approach
Excellent communication skills in a cross-business and cross-functional, global environment incl. coordination and leadership (in German and English)
Strong start-up mentality with can-do attitude to push the organization fast forward.
